Grange 100th Birthday Celebration continues: Silver Spoon Cookies!

March 4 @ 5:00 pm - March 29 @ 8:00 pm

This month, as part of our yearlong celebration for the Grange Hall’s 100th year, we are honoring the Silver Spoon Restaurant. This beloved Duvall restaurant that was housed in the Grange Hall from 1977-1982, and owned at the time by Donna Waddington and Ed Beeson, was known for it’s “glorious grub…especially the pastries, they will never be forgotten. Like bears around a honeypot, lunch time around the Silver Spoon was a picnic of pleasure for its patrons and even though the Spoon changed hands a number of times, the recipes generously went along.”*

Taste a little bit of history as each week in March brings a different cookie straight out of the original Silver Spoon Restaurant cookbook, made with love by our Grange baker extraordinaire, Faith!

*Quote from Denny Redmond in the Forward to the Silver Spoon Restaurant cookbook. Thank you to Donna Waddington for writing the Silver Spoon Restaurant cookbook and preserving these treasured recipes!
