GRANGE is GREEN
We are a 3 Star Certified Green Restaurant! This means all of our sustainable practices are verified by the Green Restaurant Association, a national 3rd-party verifier.
The GRANGE has a FARM
We run Hearth Farm which produces most of our produce and pork ingredients in the warmer months. Our farmers raise everything organically, using practices that preserve wildlife habitat and soil structure. Our kitchen staff practices food preservation--pickling, fermenting, smoking, drying, canning—and whole animal butchery, coming to near 0 food waste as we USE IT ALL!
The GRANGE has PIGS
that eat a lot of the stuff you don’t—your leftover potatoes, pizza crusts, the kitchen’s expired milk and cheese. They eat like kings and queens from all this bounty…and then feed us like kings and queens!
The GRANGE has RED WIGGLER WORMS
that eat all the kitchen waste—egg shells, lettuce butts, pumpkin guts—we get from making your brunch and dinner! Our worms make us BLACK GOLD, vermicast that we put on our farm fields, completing this whole close-to-home cycle.
