Artist Highlight

I was originally attracted to linoleum and would cut printing because of the bold in striking quality of the imagery associated with the technique… I was further intrigued by the rich religious and social political history of the Medium as a platform for satire storytelling and commentary. It is a history that I have adopted as a grounding force behind my own work.

I consider my approach to art making to be no different than anyone else’s search for clarity and understanding and it is this connection that I hope to cultivate. Through my work I have chosen to be an active participant in a culture of communication and interaction and bridge the gap between artist and viewer.

Although my work primarily serves as a vehicle for my own expression I am continually motivated by the notion that once created the art becomes more than who created it…
